Once you've decided to join Amazon's KDP Select program you are allowed 5 "free" days in a 90 day period. You can choose to use your days consecutively or space them out. So how do you set up a free day?
1. Log onto your KDP dashboard: https://kdp.amazon.com/self-publishing/dashboard
2. Once you are on your dashboard put a check mark in the box next to the book you want to promote.
3. Click on Actions, which is on the top left, directly above your list of books.
4. The last option under Actions is Manage Promotions. Click on it.
5. A screen will pop up allowing you to choose which days you would like your book to be free. Remember, if you only want to use one day at a time choose the same start date and end date.
According to Amazon your day will start after 12:00am Pacific Standard Time. That could be a few minutes or a few hours. Good luck!
